i started playing paper mario 64 on the switch online thing. pretty fun game so far!! it's actually kinda surreal playing a paper mario game because these games have been on my mental back burner for YEARS. like, i'm familiar with the characters and some plot points, but now i'm actually experiencing them.
anyway, i LOVE bow. her personality is great, and her smack attack is pretty fun to pull off! not to be dramatic, but she has quickly become one of my favourite mario characters overall??
title is based off this song, and the overall look of this piece was inspired by black velvet paintings. loosely. yeah.

one of my new years resolutions is to draw more, specifically to make one "good" drawing each month. let's see how long that lasts for lol
warioware gold was my fist warioware game, so for a while i only knew "short" orbulon. when i went to all the character's wiki pages i found old orbulon- and oh my god they made him a MANLET in gold
NYway but like. BRO. you can't just have cool shoes like that and then hide them away?? i would totally wear these.

i got no straight roads sometime in october and,, OH man,,, oh my gOD,, kjgrduhjhbyb i'm in LOVE! like seriously it's one of the best games i've played- i could just gush on and on about the characters, the music, the overworld, etc. it's very visually pleasing :)
anyway here's sayu! she's one of my faves along with dj subatomic supernova and eve. her "fictional digital mermaid idol" schtick is right up my alley. fun fact: it took me more tries to beat her than the final boss?? there's just so many things to dodge...

aerosmith was gonna be here too, but i'm only 16 so i can't airplane yet. so you get a vaguely plane-shaped object in the background instead.
i've been a fan of jojo's bizarre adventure since late last year, narancia is one of my favourite characters! and nothing gets me out of artblock better than drawing my faves.

Last drawing of the decade, babey!
I finally got a switch this christmas, and I'm so happy! Using money from old giftcards and such, I bought Pokemon Shield! Hatterene is one of my favourite new Pokemon, along with Indeedee, Eldegoss, and Perrserker. And a few others.
Oh also, I'm experimenting with how I do lineart a bit. How does it look on this drawing? I personally like it a lot.

I originally wanted to draw Orange and Lime sitting on the edge of a pool, but that... didn't really happen, oh well. This looks great either way, and I don't think I can draw Lime good yet. So it works out! :D
Honestly, I love Orange's summer costume. I almost always wear (swim) shorts and sandals, so it makes me kinda happy to see characters I like wearing them, I guess?
SPeaking of that, I strongly believe that swim shorts are just the best things to wear ever, even outside of water. Even in winter. Call me weird, but I mcfrickn' love wearing them. :')

I spent a long time on this, and it turned out pretty close to how I wanted! :D
I'm still experimenting with shading and colours, so it may look a bit off in some places.
Anyhoo, this guy is a (somewhat) older OC of mine, and I plan to draw him more. His name is Chortle, if you couldn't tell by the title.
